I have tried and studied all sorts of yoga since being in India (and back home!)...Kundalini, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Yin, Ashtanga, and Hatha. And I have to say...I am now in a serious relationship with Hatha yoga. It's slow like Yin, beautiful like Vinyasa, accurate like Iyengar, powerful like Kundalini, and strong like Ashtanga. It gives you time to explore your breath and body, helping to elevate your conciousness as you find bliss in your being. I owe this blessing to my amazing teacher here in Rishikesh, Surrender Singh. Kind, humble, beautiful inside and out....so, thanks to him, I now feel confident to share this back home. Don't worry, I'll still be teaching sweaty HipHop vinyasa, but I will also be teaching a slow, deep, intense Hatha class....and I encourage you all to step out of your comfort zones and join me on the mat for this profound classes.
