We just bottled our Dolcetto, a 2009 vintage- and it's freaking deeeeeeelish! I usually prefer full bodied reds, but this medium to light bodied delicate wine is really somethin' else! Dolcetto is an Italian varietal that is from the Piedmont region in the northwest. Earthy aromas, tobacco, and smoky on the nose with some licorice on the palate. Also bottled this week is our Nonnas Cucina, which is a Riesling. It's sweet on the nose: pineapple and mango yet it has a semi-dry finish. It contains nearly 1% residual sugar, and would go well alongside a hearty salad (Cobb or nicoise), fowl, and anything with a bit of spice.
Both of these wines, along with the sauvignon blanc, Nonno's cellar wine, merlot, cedar hammock, Cabernet Sauvignon, shiraz, blueberry, beach plum, banana, strawberry and port will be available for our Holiday Cheer wine festival this Saturday December 10th! Kevin is also whipping up some epic sangria and mulled wine! The event is free, beginning at 11am and ending at 6pm. Live music, food vendors, and gift vendors. Eat, drink, be merry, and finish your christmas shopping!
