"By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer."
- Helen Hunt Jackson, September, 1830-1885
Finally. September is here. When sun warms the back instead beating down upon us. Cool breezes in the morning, and crisp air in the night. MmMm, I love it. It's like a light switch has been flicked - the streets are empty, beaches are quiet, swell is filling in and the temperature has eased. Work has finally begun to slow down, which my body appreciates. I'm looking forward to having a day off here and there to catch up with friends, spend some QT with Shawn & my family, and log some water time -- in perfect Jersey fall surf.
So cheers...here's to a successful summer, and the wonderful Fall to come.
