We got in late Thursday night and Liz had an awesome meal prepared for us, along with some bubbly. When we woke up the next morning we lounged around the house sipping coffee before setting out along the 101 to show mom the town (the last time she was in San Diego she was 18years old). Our first "meal" of the day was beers at the Stone Brewery in Oceanside...the place was beautiful. Then we had some sushi later in the day as we made our way back south down the 101. We picked up goodies at Whole Foods and then Liz and I got to work in the kitchen. It's great to cook and collaborate alongside someone in the kitchen...Liz and I have the same theory about food, but very different approaches - so it's great to bounce ideas off one another. Also, it was great to have my beautiful friend Brie join us at dinner, who also helped out in the kitchen. There is nothing better than sharing a meal with friends you love.
