marley and me

I just finished watching Marley & Me (with Jen Aniston & Owen Wilson). I know, I know…it got bad write-ups, everyone thought that it would be a chick flick, but I think that it was one of the best movies of the year…and it was certainly one of the best films concerning dogs. I’ve grown up with dogs. There’s dog people, and then there is everyone else. So, if you’ve ever had a dog, loved a dog, or hope to someday have one – I recommend Marley & Me…because it hits the nail on the head.

The movie ends with this quote:

A dog has no use for fancy cars, or big homes or designer clothes. A waterlogged stick will do just fine. A dog doesn’t care if you are rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give em your heart and he’ll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel…extradorinary?

Everyone has one great dog in their life.

This was mine, Raven.
