money

stole this from my buddy rob kuliseks' blog:

For money you can have everything it is said. No, that is not true. You can buy food, but not appetite; medicine, but not health; soft beds, but not sleep; knowledge but not intelligence; glitter, but not comfort; fun, but not pleasure; acquaintances, but not friendship; servants, but not faithfulness; grey hair, but not honor; quiet days, but not peace. The shell of all things you can get for money. But not the kernel. That cannot be had for money. -Arne Garborg, writer (1851-1924)

Restless

I'm feeling unbearably restless.
I want to go somewhere, do something, or meet someone, but I'm not sure where that place is, that thing is, or who that person is. Money is making decisions for me, and I hate that - but it's something that I don't have in abundance, so I must spend wisely. Christmas is also affecting my travels because it is 4 weeks away...long enough that I don't want to spend here, but too short for me to really make plans to go elsewhere. Christmas in California with friends would be one thing, but Christmas in Costa Rica is just sad. What to do, what to do, what to do? I wish money grew on trees.
